A time of wonder have characterized our college students retreat this fall. Our fellowship was based on the metaphor of “ladder”. Liviu Mocan, a famous Romanian sculptor, also a great Christian, spent the weekend with us. In his characteristic style he moved us from our ordinary life to an extraordinary territory full with meaning and symbols.
The ladder of Jacob, the ladder of Heavens, Christ the ladder of heaven has invited all the over 130 college students to “climb” the ladder. Some actually did it right there in front of us in an eye-opening artistic happening and the rest of us just watched, understood and accepted the challenge. It is so refreshing to model God’s truths using this kind of common daily tools that teach.
Three young people have told us that this retreat was their stepping board for taking the decision to follow Christ.
Keep on climbing on that ladder!
